It is May which is the beginning of warm lazy Summer nights. Galaxies dominate May skies with Leo and Virgo overhead. This is the month for galaxy hopping.
On the 2nd Mercury and Pleiadies is 2 degrees apart. On the 3rd Saturn and Regulus is 2.2 degrees apart. On the 5th Eta-Aquarids peak. On the 10th Moon and M44 45 minutes apart. On the 12th Moon and Saturn 2.6 degrees apart. On the 13th Mercury is at its greatest Eastern elongation. That means you can see it darn tootin' good in the evening.
